Plein Air | St Edmunds Church, Old Costessey | Fri 14th July 2023
Join me, Maryanne Old 'En Plein Air'!
The beautiful church of St Edmunds in Old Costessey is one very dear to my heart. I live only a few doors away and I visited every day, on my daily walk during lock-down. Its a stunning church with a peaceful ambiance. This is a wonderful opportunity to study historic architecture with all its textures and beautiful lines.
I've organised these summer outings for everyone to have the chance to come out and enjoy painting or sketching in our beautiful countryside, in a supportive and safe and secure environment.
Plein Air gives the artist the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, see their 3D view and create their own 2D interpretation using multiple light sources. Its a joy to bring some of Norfolk's hidden treasures, as well as some better known stunning views.
Every location has been chosen not only for its view but also to supply you the artist with maximum comfort. Each location has parking, accessible toilets and facilities for me to provide you our all important tea and cake.
Sessions are held monthly, from May to September and there are new view challenges every outing. However, just coming as a one off to give it a go, is great too!
As always this is an inclusive fun and supportive group event, that even the least experienced artists can confidently join.
Open to sketchers and painters!
Perfect for groups, friends and family or to come alone... you are all welcome!
